Welcome to the world, Atari Rain! This lucky little lady was one of the winners of a recent newborn session contest we had on our Facebook page, and I'm so glad I got to spend time with this sweet family. She's the first tiny little redhead baby I've had in a while!
Poor baby girl was having some tummy troubles, so I was extra careful to pose her very gently. But the good news about gas bubbles is that they usually give us some big smiles!! :D
Creating images of newborns with their family heirlooms easily tops the list of my favorite things. I spotted this piano in the corner of the room while setting up my studio in Atari's home. When I asked about the piano and heard it's history, I just knew we had to create this image! Atari had gotten a little fussy by this point, so I came back the next day to make this beautiful portrait.
This sweet baby girl is not only sleeping on her mama's baby blanket, she's also with an antique miniature (working) piano that was given by her grandmother to her mother when she was an infant. Mama grew up playing this piano and so will baby girl. Doesn't that just melt your heart?!
